CJ, who writes for the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, says some people think Justin's new CD apes Prince's style. At an Emmys party Prince announced "For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!" And who can forget Justin at the Golden Globes, squatting in front of the microphone to imitate his tiny rival. Looks like Justin really resents those comparisons between his CD and Prince's music. He and Nelly Furtado came out with the diss song "Give it to Me" in which he mocks Prince's mumbling, and jokes "We missed you on the charts last week." (Justin's CD is outselling Prince's 3121 by a MILE. ) The ball is in Prince's court.

Jordana Brewster is the New Angelina Jolie

Star of “The Fast and the Furious” Jordana Brewster has apparently been cast as Mrs. Smith in the television pilot of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” The pilot is based on the film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as two married assassins hired to kill one another. The pilot starts shooting next month and will take place 6-months after movie ends. It will follow the married assassins as they try and juggle work and marriage .

Yesterday a rumor spread that Courtney Love was in talks to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol swept the internet. UsWeekly reported that Courtney received a call from Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe to possibly guest judge on American Idol and possibly replace Paula. Courtney confirmed the call, but wouldn’t say anything else.

Nigel said today, “I did not call Courtney Love and am afraid someone may have misrepresented me. Courtney Love is a very talented artist, but the judges for American Idol are Paula, Randy and Simon. We have no plans to add to or replace any of them.”

Rapper Jay-Z is to leave the advertising world fizzing with anticipation after agreeing to help soft drinks giant Coca-Cola relaunch its Cherry Coke line.

The 99 Problems star's Rocawear firm will design the new Cherry Coke can and the product's TVcommercials, and Jay-Z will appear at its 7 February (07) relaunch at New York Fashion Week.

Rocawear's Jameel Spencer says, "Besides just recording, he's making TV commercials and campaigns for brands... who is better than Coke? They're the biggest. His role is helping brands not get it wrong the way McDonald's did with African-Americans rapping about French fries. There's a reassurance that they won't appear like an out-of-touch uncle trying to act cool."

Keither Sutherland Burned His Own Doll

Kiefer Sutherland sabotaged the release of his own action figure after
setting fire to the prototype on a drunken night out.

The toy, which is modelled on Kiefer's '24' character Jack Bauer, will hit
the shops later this year, but would have been out much sooner if the actor
hadn't destroyed the original doll during a rowdy night out with friends.

Kiefer told the National Enquirer magazine: "They tried to come out with one
a couple of years ago and they sent it to me for my approval.

"We took the doll for out a night to have some fun and we'd had some drinks.
We sat it on the corner of the table.

"We started torturing him around 11pm and by 2am we set him on fire in the parking lot.

"We got up the next day and there was just this puddle of wax. His clothes didn't burn, which I thought was pretty cool.

"Then I got a call the next day saying, 'Did you like the doll?' I said, 'Yeah, it was great.' And they said, 'Well OK, good, you've got to send it back to us because that was a prototype. It took the guy a year to make it.'

"I said, 'Well, let me look for it, I think I left it in the trailer.'

"This went on for about a week and then I had to just come clean."

"The Game" In Trouble For Pretending To Be A Cop

The rapper, The Game whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, appeared in court yesterday and claims innocence. The charge is impersonating a police officer and the incident in question refers to the allegation that Taylor instructed his driver to run several red lights and to do so because he was an undercover police officer. Page Six reports that The Game's lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, believes his client is the real victim.

"The cops follow him from the moment he lands to the moment he leaves. A limo driver freaked out, that's it. They are harassing him, but there will be some harassment going the other way at the trial."

An NYPD rep said, "If he feels he's being harassed, he should file a complaint with the Civilian Complaint Review Board."

Cops Say: Prison Break Actor Was Coked Up And VERY Drunk!

The original Brandy, Lane Garrison, was more than twice the legal limi of alcohol and high on coke at the time of his DUI arrest!

The Prison Break actor was involved in a car crash that killed a 17- year-old boy in December.

The Beverly Hills Police Department recommend on Wednesday that the L.A. County District Attorney file a felony charge of gross vehicular manslaughter against Garrison.

If Garrison is convicted, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.

We've eye-balled one particularly flirtatious sext-message that Lohan sent Jenner - former flame of Kristin Cavallari, Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad - last Saturday night in which the 12-stepper, among other requests, texted that all she wanted was "McDonald's and sex."

When asked by Usmagazine.com to comment on Lohan's textual pursuit, Jenner, who just signed a deal to be a spokesman for Scope mouthwash, said, "Sorry, dude. I don't text and tell."

A rep for Lohan couldn't be reached for comment.

Justin apparently invited Jessica to join him on tour in San Diego on January 8th, just a few days before the GGs. Sienna Premieres While Diddy Grabs the Memory Card

Factory Girl premiered earlier this week in NYC at the Ziegfeld Theatre. Sienna and costar Mena Suvari made quite a stir when they showed up to the show arm-in-arm. Poor Jimmy Fallon and Guy Pearce most likely got lost in all the commotion. Sienna sure is giving everyone a lot to talk about lately. Sunday morning Diddy was caught at her hotel at 9AM, but he had a perfectly good explanation. "I was just being a gentleman and dropping her off," he said. "We all hang out together, but there's no more to it than that." However now Page Six is reporting Diddy did his best to make sure pictures of the two were not taken

Page Six has learned that a Saturday night clubgoer at Crobar tried to take a photo of Combs and Miller dancing together. A security guard who entered with Diddy's entourage responded by taking the camera from her hand and confiscating the memory card.

"After the girl took the photo, Diddy didn't say or do anything," a witness said. "By the time he was 20 feet away, one of the security guys handed the camera to the bouncer, the bouncer handed it to the girl, and the memory card was gone."

"Diddy obviously doesn't want photos taken of him with Sienna," another source told us.

Joey Morrissey, who runs Crobar's Saturday night parties, confirmed Combs and Miller were there together. "They came in at 2 a.m. with security guards," he said. The two spent the next two hours "hanging out alone upstairs in VIP having drinks."

There may be lots of denials from Diddy and Sienna's people but seriously, when was the last time you stayed out until 9AM with one of your guy friends? Sienna sure has been stumping us lately. Between this Diddy thing and her recent pants-free escapade we don't know what to think anymore!

A Grain of Hope for Spider-Man 4

Tobey is hard at work on Spider-Man 3, resuming his role as the lovable and geekalicious Peter Parker/heroic Spider-Man. We were so bummed last year when Tobey announced that he was planning to hang up his Spidey suit for good after the third installment, but don't lose all hope yet. Lucky for us Columbia Pictures execs are negotiating with writer David Koepp to pen the fourth installment of the franchise.

Black civil rights leaders in Los Angeles think that the CHP is making an example out of Brandy. In case you fell asleep at the wheel and smashed into a Toyota Corolla, Brandy was involved in a fatal car crash last December and the CHP has recommended she be charged with manslaughter.

Najee Ali, leader of Project Islamic HOPE said, “the CHP is unfairly targeting her for prosecution because of her celebrity.” Najee is putting together an e-mail campaign urging other black civil rights leaders to put pressure on the L.A. attorney to not pursue charges against Brandy.

The success of his film "Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," earned him a spot on the list just behind Prince William, as well as a Golden Globe earlier this year. Rehab Lovin’

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty visited a rehab unit together yesterday. They secretly checked into the Capio Nightingale Hospital in London. Witnesses saw them go into the hospital, but they used fake names. Kate is apparently going into rehab for Petey Bird. She has been in rehab before and hopes that if she goes in with her man, he’ll clean up.

Last week at Sundance, Sienna Miller was looking mighty tight with diddy (or is he Puff these days? Was there a formal announcement?), but I pretty much dismissed the concept of the two as a couple because a) it's cold in Utah and people need to stay close for body heat reasons and b) though it wouldn't be the first time for getting involved with a new father for Sienna, didn't Diddy's fiancee just have two babies like a few weeks ago? But lo and behold, here the two are entering Sienna's hotel in NYC early Sunday Morning. Wow.

Both of their publicists have since denided that anything romantic is going on between their clients, even though Diddy tried to demand that the paparazzi erase all photos and film of the two together. Still sounds pretty fishy to me.

This industrious reader caught and copied the article before it disappeared; here are some tasty excerpts: I discerned that the long, hard road to culinary dominance begins with a dish made from poached snails, peanuts and American cheese. That the 24-year-old Ilan Hall was able to turn those odd-couple ingredients into appetizing escargots with cheese sauce probably should have been a sign that he was destined to win the Top Chef title.

Ilan believes that too many expensive restaurants operate without a soul. "The seasoning can be right, the preparation fine, but a robot could have made the food. It’s cafeteria food for wealthy people."

So why did Ilan come out on top? Turns out he had a mantra, one that should serve him well in the real-life competition of the restaurant business: "Make the food too delicious for them to send you home." Miss USA Tara Conner is out of rehab, but Donald Trump and the Miss Universe Organization are keeping a tight leash on her. Friends say the beauty queen has moved from her Trump Tower pad to a bigger apartment farther uptown, which she now shares with a chaperone. "She is not allowed to go to clubs anymore," dished the spy, "and she has a lot of new rules for going out." A spokesperson for Miss USA said, "Plans to move to a bigger apartment with a chaperone have been in the works for months, and Tara is free to go wherever she wants."

Brandy in trouble?

Last week, it was reported that Brandy was involved in a fatal car accident. The CHP has concluded their investigation in the December 30th crash and are recommending that Brandy be charged with a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence. DAMN! They aren’t joking. Our little Moesha is going to the clink?

The CHP made its recommendation this morning to the L.A. City Attorney’s office. The L.A. City office will investigate and decide if they are going to charge her ass. Brandy could face up to 1 year in jail.

A CHP rep said, “We know that Brandy’s at fault for the chain reaction of the collision.”

Paris Hilton Sues to Close ParisExposed.com

Paris Hilton filed a lawsuit in federal court yesterday against ParisExposed, the website that posted nude videos, nude photos, diaries, her prescriptions for Valtrex and other skanky items. The owner of the items was able to purchase them at auction when Paris failed to pay a storage unit bill where the items were kept.

In the lawsuit, Paris claims that a storage company failed to pay the bill. The lawsuit alleges that defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss of Culver City, Calif., paid $2,775 for Hilton’s items and then sold them for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, creator of ParisExposed.com.

$10 million for a bunch of used pussy?! Damn, that sucker paid $9,999,999 too much. Paris is afraid that documents on the site which have private information could be used to stalk her or steal her identity.

She said, “I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters’ (sic) private personal belongings for commercial gain.” Paris wants the site shut down and her private items returned to her.

The owners of the website had no comment.

Strangely enough, ParisExposed.com was down for most of the day yesterday with some reports saying it was hacked.

My question is, we knew about this website months ago. Why didn’t Paris try to buy her items back if she was so worried about things getting leaked? Methinks idiot knew what was going on and is apart of it. She’s “faux suing” them to make it look like she’s innocent. She could’ve easily stopped the website from going up.
