The book is called It's not supposed to be this way by Lysa Terkeurst.

In week one we learn some scriptures. In Ephesians 6:10-20 which says " Finally be empowered in the Lord and in the might of his strength. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the devil. Our wrestling is the world rulers of the darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. Therefore take the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand. Stand therefore having girded your loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. Having shod your feet with the firm foundation of the gospel of peace. Besides all these, having taken up the sheild of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming darts of the evil one..."

In Romans 8: 37-38 says " But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death not life nor angels not principalities not things present not things to come not powers. Nor height not depth not any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In week two we learned we can be victimized into thinking we'll be forever live in the depths of despair or remain locked in our prison of fear and anxiety. We are decieved into believing we're a failure. We need to surrender all hope that God is able to change our seemingly, hopeless circumstances.

She paraphrased some scriptures I am chosen (Jeremiah) I am forgiven (Acts) I am reedemed (Psalms) I am beautiful (Psalms) I am created with a purpose (Jeremiah). No longer will Satan, the one Jesus calls the father lies, hold our hearts and minds captive with his lies.

Review of the book Still In The Game by Devon Still

This book is about a football player whose daughter gets cancer and turns to God for help.

I like the quote on page vii which says " Life has a way of bringing you to your knees. At some point or another, no matter how strong you are, no matter how in control you are, you will drop to the ground and pray. And pray hard." The quote I like on page 156 says " I learned in that church if you want to feel God's presence, just ask for it. I started bawling and calling out loud why God? Why? Are you here with me God? Do you hear me? Let me know you are here!"

On page 187 it says " in God, whose words I praise- in God I trust and am not afraid(psalm 56:4)" . On page 192 it says " We know that all things work together for good for those who love God( Romans 8: 28)" On page 197 says " God has a plan. We can't always see the plan, but it's there. Whatever you're going through is preparing you for something else. Something bigger. Something you probably can't even imagine. You just have to pay attention. Learn the lesson. Stay in the game. Don't give up. Keep going. And someday, someday, if you stick it out, all that stuff that didn't make sense is gonna make some sense. It's gonna pay off. It's gonna add up to something. I knew, I would continue to know from that moment forward, that whatever new struggles might come my way, whatever challenge's or obstacles might appear in my life, they were just preparing me for a future that God has in store for me. Knowing that everything we do in life is about learning, growing, gaining strength, preparing for a path we can't see but that God is laying out for us, just knowing that somehow makes the task of facing life's struggles that much easier. Faith in God doesn't make the struggles go away. The obstacles in life don't magically disappear because you pray. But the fear of those struggles? The terror of believing that each new obstacle is somehow gonna be the end of you. That goes away. That makes you stronger. And that is powerful."

On page 226 it says" when something is wrong, it's never shameful to stop and ask for help. You cannot heal what you're not willing to face."on page 233 it says " I'm not sure what life will hold for us all next, but I know there will be more challenges ahead. That's life. I still believe the struggle makes me stronger, and somehow it's all part of God's Bigger plan."

Some Bible Quotes I liked

All you do is read the first 4 chapters of the Bible and you find out evolution is a lie(Gen 1:1) there are only two genders (Gen 2:24), A marriage is between a man and a woman (Gen2:24) and all religions don't lead to God(Gen 4 :3-7). Found these facts on Facebook

I like the Quotes from the article Honor And It's Decline by George Grant. On page 10 it says" It is important to remember that any attempt to surrendering truth into separate upper and lower categories is merely a pretext for unbelief. The decline and fall of honor in our day is not the second or third order consequence of the new fundamentalist dogma's of our abortion affirming LGBTQ or post modern soothsayers. Instead it's unbelief in the unchanging standard's of an unchanging God that has precipipated this catastrophic domino effect across the terrain of our culture."

I like the Quotes from the Gospel Truth by Andrew Wommack. On page 3 it says " If we don't stand for what the Bible has to say, the unbelievers- who don't have a biblical worldview- are going to be the ones establishing all the policies, determing what we can can and can't say. You still hold viewpoints that are completely opposite to what the word says. If you're going to be a disciple of Jesus you can't only observe the parts you like. If your attitude your doctrine or your worldview doesn't line up with the word of God you need to change it, not change the word of God. You may hold unbiblical views on the origin of creation or abortion. You cannot continue to do this and then call yourself a disciple."
