Shia LaBeouf flirted with a fan during a TV interview. The "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" actor was delighted to hear a girl called Samantha was waiting to meet him outside the studio of U.S. talk show "Today," and seemed even more enamored when footage of her was beamed onto the screen next to him Thursday.
After watching Samantha give a small interview, Shia said: "I like Samantha a lot. She seems like a real special person. I would love to meet her - is she here?"
The overawed fan then walked into the studio clutching a cup of coffee for her crush.
Calling Samantha a "sweetheart", Shia said: "You look great. Is this your, 'Morning, hi. Say nice things to Shia,' outfit?"
Giggling, Samantha replied: "It is! I've been planning this all week, and I bought this floral skirt especially! I can't believe this."
Meredith then decided to offer Samantha the chance to interview her idol, prompting the embarrassed fan to stutter: "I don't know what to ask. I'm in shock. What kind of girl are you interested in - honestly. Just be honest."
Shia explained: "All kinds. Seriously, being honest with you, I don't have a specific. I don't have a girlfriend. What are you doing the rest of the day? My day is boring."
When Samantha replied she was waiting outside with her pals, Shia screeched: "Four friends?! Let's round up the troops already!"
When Samantha asked Shia for a photo, the 23-year-old actor told her he was going to ask the "exact same thing", then thanked Meredith for the "love connection."

Celebrities Out With Their Children
The weather was great and the celebrities were out with their little ones to enjoy it.
Denise Richards made a few cupcakes at Crumbs Cupcake store in Los Angeles. Guess who she ran into? Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott and their two children Liam and Stella. Not really a coincidence - everyone was attending a local charity event in Malibu. After their talk, Tori and Dean strolled their kids to Tra Di Noi restaurant for some lunch.

Cameron Diaz Is A Chef, Too
In addition to playing the role of a mother for her latest movie, 'My Sister's Keeper,' Cameron Diaz had another role she liked to play on set: chef. She enjoyed cooking for her young co-stars, Abigail Breslin, Evan Ellingson, and Sofia Vassilieva.
"I made them guacamole and chili cheese fries and fajitas," Diaz, 36, told PEOPLE at Wednesday night's premiere of the film...
"She's an incredible cook," came the praise from Vassilieva, 16. "Everything was very organic. Very healthy. She's totally cool to hang out with. She's so nurturing and took care of us."
However, it sounds like actor Jason Patric, who played Cameron's husband, didn't get to enjoy those perks.

Farrah Fawcett Has Passed Away
After a long battle with cancer, Farrah Fawcett has passed away at the young age of 62. Ryan O'Neal and her good friend Alana Stewart were both at St. John's Health Center in Los Angeles with Farrah when she died. While leaving the hospital, Alana told ET, "I just lost my best friend. Her death was very peaceful."
Ryan released this statement: "After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."
Farrah is survived by her 24-year-old son Redmond.

People.com is reporting that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have broken up with rep confirmation.
"They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo's rep tells PEOPLE of the couple, who began dating in 2006.
Friends are even confirming it was the right decision for the two.
A source says Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are "still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do."

He was actually very supportive this season. He saw how little they were on last season, as did a lot of people who gave me a lot of flak for it. There are nice moments that I will have forever. I never would have gotten a video of my daughter saying their Nana was their angel. Stuff like that. They’re in it very little and as a parent I’m so proud of them, and think it’s very cute. I don’t think my girls are exploited. If they like being around me it’s because they get to be with me, and if they want to be filmed great, if they don’t they walk away and I don’t care. But Charlie is actually very supportive this season.
Denise also adds that she really feels for Jon and Kate Gosselin because she knows what life in the public eye is like.

They did this show with their children and they got very popular from it, but it’s hard overnight to jump into that sort of lifestyle, and all this media attention, and a lot of it is negative. It’s very difficult.

The ‘Hero’ singer is gorging on calorific treats as she works on her next release and is embracing her new, curvier figure.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Mariah loves food. Right now she’s making an album and eating everything and anything she wants. She has put on about 15lbs, but she loves the curves.”

Hugh Laurie And Friends Made Pact To Commit Suicide By 40
Hugh Laurie planned to kill himself before he turned 40... and so did a bunch of his friends.
WHY?!
The ‘House’ actor – who celebrates his 50th birthday in a few weeks time – and his school friends made a pact to take their own lives because they thought they would have achieved everything by that age.
“I remember I made a pact with some friends when we were 18 that we’d kill ourselves before we got to 40. It just seemed such a ludicrously distant prospect. I think I’d say that you’ll never think you know more or feel more acutely or have any clearer an insight into existence than you do right now.”
Despite failing to go through with the suicide pact, Hugh admits his life hasn’t turned out the way he thought it would. He added to Britain’s Seven magazine:
“From now on it’s a gradually descending mist of confusion and doubt. I’ve never known less than I know now. You hope that your teenage self would like and forgive your 50-year-old self. It would be awful to think that they’d be ashamed and appalled – that you were a betrayal of everything they thought they’d become.”

Billy Bob's Daughter Charged in Death of Baby
We've learned the oldest daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been charged with child neglect in the death of a 1-year-old she was babysitting.
Amanda Brumfield told cops the child died in October after falling from her playpen, but a spokesman for the Ocoee Police Department said Amanda Brumfield's story didn't add up.
An autopsy determined the child suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.
Brumfield told police that after the baby had fallen, she discovered her tongue bleeding, so Brumfield cleaned it with a paper towel. She then says she began playing with the child, feeding her bananas and fruit snacks, and said she was "happy" and playful.
Brumfield then said she laid the child on the couch next to her and fell asleep. She says was awoken sometime later by the phone and decided to take the child back to the playpen. When she lifted her, Brumfield told cops she discovered her body was limp.
According to police, the call for help didn't come until two and a half hours after the original fall.
Brumfield is Thornton's child with his first wife, Melissa Gatlin.
UPDATE -- A rep for Thornton sent TMZ this statement: "Mr. Thornton is estranged from Amanda and has had no contact with her for quite some time, however when informed about this situation he commented that, 'Anytime a baby's life is lost is an unimaginable tragedy and my heart goes out to the baby's family and loved ones.'"
