Fashionable young couple Paris Hilton and Benji Madden ventured out in Beverly Hills on Tuesday afternoon (April 29) - grabbing some lunch at Prego Italian restaurant.

The former Simple Life star and her rocker beau have been nearly inseparable since they started dating - and as a token of his love, Madden recently penned a song for his heiress girlfriend.

“He actually wrote me a beautiful song, and actually recorded it in the studio. He surprised me with it. It’s called, ‘Shine Your Light.’ It’s this really beautiful love song about me. It was the sweetest thing that anyone has ever done for me,” Hilton said at last night’s ‘Scarlet’ TV launch.

“He’s my best friend,” she continued telling of Madden. “He’s just different from any guy that I’ve ever been with. I just trust him completely, and I know that he’d be there for me, no matter what.”

And when asked if she might find her way to the altar before pal Nicole Richie, Paris smilingly replied: “I don’t know. My life’s a lot different now, I’m very much at peace, and I’m so happy, and in control, and so very excited about life.”

Jessica Walter from "Arrested Development" will play the 1970s faded movie star, Tabitha Mills, in the CW's remake of Beverly Hills 90210. The Ausiello Scoop reports that Tabitha is the drunk granny of the show's central teen characters. Lori Loughlin has already been cast as Tabitha's daughter.

The cast also includes Ryan Eggold, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan and Shenae Grimes. Producers are still talking to Jennie Garth about reprising her role as that Kelly Taylor.

In her quest to regain custody of her two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, Britney Spears has been ordered to be observed by Dr. Jane Shatz. And the results are in.

Dr. Shatz filed her comprehensive court-ordered report (totaling hundreds of pages) this past Friday, April 25th in the family court overseeing her custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.


The court will have just short of two weeks to read through the report and come to some conclusions, as it will be discussed at the next hearing, set for May 6th. At that time, the “Gimme More” singer’s lawyers will be seeking a modification of the current custody terms (most likely seeking sleepover privileges).

An insider revealed that the report is a “mixed bag” which, in turn, “makes it more likely that Britney will show for the hearing.”

And legal experts speculate that if Miss Spears does indeed appear in court on the 6th, it could bode very well for her. After all, LA County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon is used to Brit blowing off her court dates, leaving her lawyers to tend to her affairs.

Roger Clemens Had An Affair with Mindy McCready

Country singer Mindy McCready confirmed a ten year affair with embattled pitcher Roger Clemens.

"I cannot refute anything in the story," a tearful but resolute McCready told the Daily News, which broke the story at midnight Sunday.

The News reported that the two met in a Florida karaoke bar when McCready was a 15-year-old aspiring singer and Clemens was a 28-year-old ace for the Red Sox and a married father of two.

"Yes, I have known Roger Clemens for a long time," McCready said, reading from a prepared statement. "He's a kind and caring man. He's also a legendary athlete. The central topic in the debate, however, regards his professional life, not his personal life.

"There are legal matters working their way through the system that have nothing to do with me. From my point of view, that is where the focus should remain."

After the teenage McCready met Clemens at a Fort Myers bar called The Hired Hand, she returned with the Rocket to his hotel room, but there was no sex that night, sources told The News.

It wasn't until later, after McCready had moved to Nashville and become a country singing star, that the relationship turned intimate.

Contacted by the Daily News Sunday through his lawyer Rusty Hardin, Clemens confirmed a long-term relationship but denied that it was of a sexual nature.

"He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her," Hardin said. "He's considered her a close family friend. ... He has never had a sexual relationship with her."

Hardin said the Rocket's wife, Debbie, knew McCready and that the singer had traveled on his plane.

Hmm, honestly why would a 28 year old married man with kids want to have a relationship with a 15 year old? So she went to his hotel room, but there was no sex. The question is did they have sex at least once over that 10 year period? YEA!!!!!

Country superstar Kenny Chesney received the go-ahead from docs on Monday to continue his Poets & Pirates tour after injuring his foot during a concert in Columbia, S.C. Saturday night.

According to a rep, Chesney was checked out by a sports medicine/orthopedic doctor from the Tennessee Titan's football team in Nashville, who said the singer could perform but needs to take it easy.

What better way to raise money for a charity then to offer the chance for fans to go on a shopping spree with Paris Hilton?

Apparently the “We Love to Erase MS” campaign hit the nail on the head when they asked the hotel heiress to show up at Kitson boutique on Roberson Boulevard to promote their auction.

And Hilton handled it like a pro, hamming it up with the crowd and undergoing several outfit changes before the event was over.

On a darker side, it seems Paris, along with her boyfriend Benji Madden are being investigated for an alleged hit and run. They’re being accused of driving over a photographer’s foot as they left a nightclub and failing to stop.

Glen Gurniak, a paparazzo outside the Foxtail nightclub this past Thursday, told press, “There were too many people that side of the car so he swung the wheels in my direction on the other side of the car and got my foot trapped under the wheel. I yelled at him, ‘Dude, you’ve pinched my foot under the wheel, don’t drive, don’t drive.’”

“He turned and looked at me out of the window and then just drove. I fell to the floor as the car stopped and was just laying on the floor as everyone was screaming at him that he’d run me over.”

Police say the incident is under investigation.

Spotted: Lindsay Lohan at Chicago DJ party

Lindsay Lohan was in Chicago Thursday night with her ever-present BFF Samantha Ronson. The reason for the LiLo visit? She was here to keep company with Ronson who was flown in to DJ at the Hotel Sax’s sizzlin’ Crimson Lounge nightspot.

Lohan hung out behind the DJ booth while Samantha did her spin thing — the two women also shared a suite in the hotel.

That night an overeager clubgoer Lindsay Burns was escorted out of Chicago nightspot Crimson Lounge and into a waiting police car after she took advantage of Lindsay Lohan’s early exit and made a surprise appearance in Samantha Ronson’s DJ booth. The 22-year-old Burns was charged with simple battery for allegedly refusing to go down without a fight when security guards tried to remove her from Ronson’s unusually vacant side.
