Amy Winehouse, the beehived soul-jazz diva whose self-destructive habits overshadowed a distinctive musical talent, was found dead Saturday in her London home, police said. She was 27.
Winehouse shot to fame in 2006 with the album "Back to Black," whose blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop was a global hit. It won five Grammys and made Winehouse - with her black beehive hairdoand old-fashioned sailor tattoos - one of music's most recognizable stars. But her personal life, with its drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders and destructive relationships, soon took over her career.
Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene.
Singer and actress Kelly Osbourne, who helped Winehouse check into a drug addiction treatment facility in 2008, was one of many who grieved for the singer on Twitter.
"I cant even breath right now im crying so hard i just lost 1 of my best friends. i love you forever Amy and will never forget the real you!" she tweeted.
The singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, had arrived in New York this weekend to prepare for his U.S. performing debut Monday night at the Blue Note jazz club, but upon receiving news of his daughter's death was heading back home to London to be with his family, his publicist Don Lucoff said.
An ambulance could be seen parked beneath the trees outside her London home, and the whole street was cordoned off by police tape. Officers kept onlookers away from the scene.

Review of the book Why God Won't Go Away by Allister McGrath
**This review might offend some people. If you get offended after reading this then please do not leave a rude comment. I will simply ban you and delete your comment. Thanks**
This book was kind of boring and was kind of hard to follow with all the scientific things in it. They quoted a lot of things about science and its finding so that made it very hard to understand and confusing. This book was all about this new form of atheism around and what those atheists believe. I personally am a Christian and believe highly in the bible and GOD and wish everyone else did the same as well. I only liked two points in this book that I will be talking about and that will be my review. On page 13 of the book it says " Faith is blind trust in the absence of evidence, even in the teeth of evidence. It's a process of non-thinking or persistently false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence. " What I have learned as Christian is to your own research, do not always believe what people tell you, do your own research and see if what you are being taught is in fact correct. The biggest misconception I had was that when we die, we either go to heaven or hell but that is simply not true. I will use the same scripture I have used in my other posts that says that when we die, we are simply sleeping, not conscious of anything. In ecclesiastics it says in chapter 9, verse 5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” And I also learned that GOD is not a mean God, he is a loving, kind GOD. In the scripture Psalms 68 verse 19 it says "Blessed be Jehovah, who daily carries the load for us,The [true] God of our salvation." This shows that Jehovah will help us carry our daily load if it gets too hard for us to bear. Which shows GOD truly does care about us. And the second thing I enjoyed in this book is how people only think of things that are going wrong when something bad is happening but this quote sums it up perfectly " For every one of these grand tragedies there are ten thousand acts of personal kindness and social good that go unreported...Religion, like all social institutions of such historical depth and cultural impact, cannot be reduced to an unambiguous good or evil". Overall this book was hard to read, boring and I would not recommend this book to anyone.
