Review of the book Brush of Angel's Wings by Ruth Reid

This book was a very good book. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. I read the book in 3 hours. This book was about an Amish family who was trying to find a nice husband for their daughter and how she ended up falling in love and getting married. I like reading books about Amish people and their lifestyles, I find it so interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone.I also liked 2 quotes in the book that I want to put in my review. The first quote is on page 57 which reads "Don't focus on their lack of material possession or overlook the family's closeness with God. The value of love far exceeds gold." I like this quote because something can happen in a persons life and change a person's outcome and you have to realize what is important and what is not. Which ties in with the quote on page 299, " Sometimes a different perspective opens your eyes to what's been their all along. Sometimes we forget all the blessings God gives us and it takes a change in our life to remember that. God gives us blessings everyday if we just look up to him and see it, such as seeing a friend who you haven't seen in a while or spending with my dogs who love me and I love them, I call them my babies and I am their mother. Because thats who close I am to them.

Tori Spelling Pregnant With Fourth Child Five Months After Giving Birth

And baby makes . . . six!

Just five months after giving birth to daughter Hattie Margaret, Tori Spelling is pregnant with her fourth child, she announced on her website Friday.

"Dean, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and I are beyond thrilled to announce that another little McDermott is on the way! We feel truly blessed that another angel has found us. Love, Tori xoxo," read the announcement, which was accompanied by a pic of Spelling's burgeoning bump.

The baby-to-be will join Hattie (who was born in October 2011), brother Liam, 5, and sister Stella, 3, the actress and reality star's children with husband Dean McDermott. Spelling, 38, wed Canadian-born actor McDermott, 45, back in May 2006.

While carrying Hattie last year, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum dispelled any notions that pregnancy gets any easier the second or third time around.

"People always think the first one was the hardest. But I'm like, 'No the first one was easy for me because I could lay around all day. I didn't have two little ones to take care of,'" Spelling has said. "This is the hardest one because I'm always going with the kids."

Reese Witherspoon Pregnant With Third Child

When Reese Witherspoon turns 36 this Thursday March 22, she'll definitely have something extra to celebrate: A baby on the way! As multiple sources confirm exclusively in the new Us Weekly, out now, the Oscar-winning actress is pregnant with her third child, and her first with second husband Jim Toth, who she wed last March at her $7 million ranch in Ojai, Calif. after over a year of dating.

"Reese is right around 12 weeks," one source explains, adding that the This Means War star is "not planning to announce it."

The baby-to-be will join older siblings Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8, Witherspoon's kids with first husband Ryan Phillippe, from whom she split in 2006 after 7 years of marriage. Pals of Witherspoon and high-powered CAA agent Toth, 41, aren't shocked by the happy news. "Reese and Jim have been trying to get pregnant," one pal says.

And now that the A-list couple are breaking the news to a small circle of friends, their baby joy is obvious.

"The timing is right," one source says. "She's so happy!"

Lindsay Is Off The Hook After Supposed Hit And Run!

Whew!!! That was a CLOSE one!

Lindsay Lohan can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief…for now!!!

Looks like she is now off the hook for her little "hit and run" incident early this AM, where she was seen leaving after her car just barely brushed up against a man’s knee. Lindsay even strategically switched seats in the car afterwards!

A police spokesperson is saying “There was no evidence of a crime or a hit and run. There was no evidence of a crime.”

Authorities interviewed witnesses after the crime incident occured and determined there was no crime, injuries or damages.

Lindsay Lohan Strikes Person While Driving Flees Scene

Lindsay Lohan struck someone while driving away from a club, and then fled the scene ... TMZ has learned.

Lindsay was in her new Porsche when she left the Sayers Club in Hollywood at just after midnight Wednesday.

We're told she was driving out of the parking lot when she was blocked by paparazzi and bystanders around the nearby Hookah Lounge.

Lindsay made contact with the manager of the Hookah Lounge with her car and then peeled out.

Cops were called, came to the scene, interviewed people inside the Hookah Lounge -- including the manager who was lightly struck -- and then left.

We're told Lindsay may have been the one who called police to protect herself from paparazzi, and that's why cops came.

Sources at the scene say the manager may not have suffered any injury. If that's the case, Lindsay probably did not violate any law, but if he was injured that could constitute the crime of hit-and-run. What's more, it could be grounds to violate her probation in the shoplifting case.

3:15 AM: Cops tell TMZ ... they have investigated and determined no one was injured so as far as they are concerned it's case closed. They added it could be reopened if the person struck contacts them later and claims injury.

6:06 AM: The plot thickens ... Sources tell us, the manager who Lindsay struck has gone to the emergency room and we're told he is going to press charges and hire an attorney. Cops told us they will open a hit-and-run investigation if the manager files a report.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the 26-year-old manager was standing by his car when Lindsay was attempting a 3-point turn and she grazed his knee and his car. We're told the manager didn't know who Lindsay was at first and he told the paparazzi on scene and police that he didn't need medical attention. Cops say he was told the driver was Lindsay but he said he wasn't from this country and didn't know who she was. We're told a short time later he began complaining he was injured.

TMZ spoke to an eyewitness who also says the manager was fine and actually "got up and started smoking his hookah."

Britney Spears Nearing Deal to Judge 'X Factor'

A well-placed source tells THR that the pop superstar's fiance Jason Trawick is negotiating the contract which could be signed as soon as next week.

Britney Spears is nearing a deal to serve as judge on next season's The X Factor, a well-placed source tells The Hollywood Reporter. Spears' fiance, agent Jason Trawick, is negotiating the contract, which could be signed as soon as next week.

Reports surfaced recently that the pop superstar was interested in joining the panel, but according to an insider, show creator Simon Cowell made the initial approach. Spears is signed to Sony Music's RCA Records, which absorbed her original label Jive in 2011 and has exclusive music rights to X Factor artists.

As one of Sony's Music's marquee acts (33 million albums sold in the U.S. and counting), Spears brings legitimacy as a successful recording artist, something critics of X Factor say was missing in last year's competition, as well as a level of unpredictability and drama that also was largely absent from the Fox show when Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were judges.

During a conference call with reporters in February, Cowell would not confirm that talks had begun with Spears but hinted that “there’s going to be a lot of twists and turns over the next few weeks and a lot of things we’re going to announce."

To prepare for the seat alongside judges Cowell and Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid, Spears is undergoing extensive media training. Janet Jackson was also in the running as a potential judge but reportedly bowed out, citing previous commitments to tour.

No word yet on who might take the fourth spot. Two hosts have yet to be named as well.

Another high-ranking show exec recently told THR that the perfect candidate would be someone based in Los Angeles who not only has music business success and credentials but is perhaps a parent and wants to spend time with his or her kids. Clearly, Spears fits the bill.

Spears' representative could not be reached for comment. A rep for the show refused to confirm or comment. Fox had no comment.

Following in the footsteps of Claudia Schiffer, Mariah Carey, and the woman who started it all, Demi Moore, a heavily pregnant Jessica Simpson has thrown modesty out the window as she bares all -- save for a few select parts covered by her hands -- on the cover of a magazine. But the 31-year-old doesn't just reveal her new, bigger body in Elle's April issue , she also reveals some pretty big news: The singer-turned-actress-turned-fashion designer is having a girl! And she's hoping for a girly girl at that.

"Ah swear, ah will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!" Simpson, who will serve as a "mentor" on the upcoming reality competition show "Fashion Star," tells the magazine in her signature Texas drawl. "If she ends up bein' this volleyball-playing, basketball-playing woman I'm looking up at! Eric is so athletic. We're gonna have this ath-a-letic girl and I won't even be able to take her shopping, 'cause all she's gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!"

The Eric she's referring to is Simpson's fiancé, pro football player Eric Johnson … and the reason their future daughter could be one very large baby. (Her physician is predicting 10 pounds, the same size Johnson was at birth.) "Me, I was only six pounds," she says. "So maybe Eric and I can meet in the middle."

The couple apparently didn't had any trouble meeting in the middle when it came to choosing a name for their baby girl. And the future mom insists they won't be changing their minds. "We're sure. We're embroidering it on things," Simpson insists of the name she describes as "nontraditional." "It's nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary Still, when people hear it, they'll know…why."

And with the new baby will surely come more media attention, something Simpson is quite familiar with — explaining her elaborate tactics for shaking off the paparazzi, which involve renting multiple cars and switching them out in various parking garages. But it's not just the media's photographers who have caused trouble for a woman who started her music career as a teenager but rose to even more fame after her infamous reality show "The Newlyweds" debuted in 2003. The MTV series followed the star and then new-husband, former boy band member Nick Lachey (who, coincidentally just announced he and second wife Vanessa Minnillo are expecting, too), and often portrayed Simpson as less-than-the-brightest bulb. Case in point: When Simpson wondered aloud if Chicken of the Sea tuna was made from actual chicken.

"The thing is, I was just a lot more naive in my life back then," she explains. "I was experiencing a lot of things for the first time, like media and marriage and just…comin' in to my own as a woman. I was this southern, Texas girl who didn't know much comin' into this world," she explains.

One thing's for sure: Jessica Simpson is happy to be Jessica Simpson. "I know who I am, and you kinda' can't mess with that. I'm a go-with-it girl. I have a blast makin' fun of myself and falling on my face and then getting up again," she shares. "It's so much better than being the cool, deep, tortured artist."

Review of the book Great Day Every Day by Max Lucado

I enjoyed this book alot. I read it all in one day.I like this one quote on page 46. Remember how he taught us to pray? "Give us day by day our daily bread"(Luke 11:13, nkjv). We should only live our life one day at a time. I also like how the author said on page 67 if we have problems then go to GOD and he will help us. No matter if we think our problem is too large, if our sins are too numerous, If our future seems frightening, if our enemy is too strong? That reading the bible and talking to GOD can help us in the long run.

I also like the quote on page 69. Sometimes our problem can be solved by praying about it and by leaving it in the hands of someone who can do something about it, like GOD.

At the end of the book the author had some discussion questions to think about and my favorite question is what is the most difficult day you had to endure in the past year, what made it so hard and were you able to make into a good day? My most difficult day was when I had a seizure. it scared me because it came out of nowhere and it scared me to think i was unconscious for 10 whole minutes before I woke up. It makes you realize that everyday can be your last and you have no control over it and that I am thankful that I have family and friends who love me and can make my life better. I was able to make it into a good day by knowing that my husband truly loved me and I could see how concerned he was about my life and how much he truly did love me and appreciate me and took care of me. He is truly a good husband. All in all I liked this book and have enjoyed many books by this author.
