Review of the book One Call Away by Brenda Warner

This book is about her life as wife, mother and all the tragedies that went on her life and how she used her faith to get through it all. I enjoyed how strong she was to other people and how by letting it all go and depending on God for everything and how everything worked out, not exactly how it was planned but God took care of her and blessed her for the effort she made to him in her life.

I felt bad for this woman the entire time because she has so many tragedies happen such as her baby having seizures, her first husband had seizures and how once she remarried and had more kids, two of those kids were miscarriages and she lost them. And she also lost her mom and dad in a tornado which was so hard for her because she said if she had know that one time would be the last time she would see her parents she would hug them or tell them she loves them and would not hold off on those things. It shows that anything can happen in life and it can all change in a second and that you should always tell you family how you feel because they could be gone just like that.

I can relate a little bit to this author about the whole seizure situation. In May I ended up having a seizure out of the blue. Apparently one night, my husband saw me grunt, fall out of bed and then saw me having a seizure, foaming out of my mouth. He said he tried waking me up but I was unresponsive for 10 minutes. I did not wake up until the paramedics had come and put me on the gurney thing and took me to the hospital. I was scared and I am glad that I am ok and we still don't know what caused the seizure but it all will work out. I had never planned on that happening but sometimes things just do and you do your best to deal with it all.

All in all I would recommend this book to my friends and I enjoyed reading it. I actually ended up reading it in one day!

Beyoncé & Jay-Z Expecting a Baby

Leave it to Beyoncé to steal the spotlight at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.

But it wasn't one of the pop diva's signature show-stopping performances that had people talking. Instead, it was Beyoncé's burgeoning baby bump, swathed in an orange gown.

Beyoncé, 29, posed for photos with her hands cradling her belly, teasing, "I have a surprise!"

"I'm happy to say it's true," her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Later, during the show, she performed "Love on Top," introducing the song by telling the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live crowd, "I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside me."

After her song, she unbuttoned her sparkling jacket and rubbed her stomach. The crowd roared.

"They told friends in the last month," a source tells PEOPLE. "She's never been happier. Seriously it's all she's been waiting for. And Jay is like an excited kid. They're adorable."

This will be the first child for Beyoncé and her husband of three years, 41-year-old Jay-Z, who performed "Otis" at the VMAs with Kanye West.

Just in June, Knowles, who turns 30 on Sept. 4, told Piers Morgan, "I always said I would have a baby at 30."

Looks like the talented singer is true to her word!

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith: 'We Are Still Together'

Will and Jada Smith have issued a statement confirming they are still together after a report surfaced on Tuesday suggesting their 13-year marriage had come to an end.

"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact," Will and Jada said in a joint statement, issued to Access Hollywood.

On Tuesday morning, InTouch Weekly claimed the Hollywood superstar couple has decided to split after 13 years of marriage.

Will, 42, and Jada, 39, tied the knot in 1997. They have two children together - Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10. Will also has a son, Trey, 18, from a previous marriage.

Will's previous marriage to Sheree Zampino lasted from 1992 to 1995.

Will and Jada reportedly met when Jada auditioned for a role on Will's long-running series "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."

Back in 2008, Will opened up about his marriage during a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and at the time, said "divorce is not an option."

"What I found is divorce just can't be an option," Will told Ellen at the time. "It's really that simple. And I think that's the problem with L.A. - there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options."

In 2005, Access spoke with Will while he was promoting "Hitch" to talk about the secret to making a marriage work.

"Jada and I spend a lot of time studying relationships and why things work and why things don't work," Will told Access Hollywood at the time.

"You've gotta love every aspect, you've gotta love it from every angle," Will later added.

Meanwhile, Jada said one of the secrets to the couple's success was finding time - and a place - for each other.

"You have to be willing to move around -- to move your romance around. Kitchen, closet, park, parked car," she laughed during the "Collateral" junket in 2004. "You'd be surprised!"

On Monday, Will was photographed in Miami and it appeared he was not wearing a wedding ring. However, it should be noted, Will often does not wear his ring

Review of the book Fresh Brewed Life by Nicole Johnson

This book was a really good read. I read it in 2 days and couldn't put it down. I really liked how encouraging this book was. The author made alot of great points that I could relate to and it seemed like a friend of mine had written this book.

I took some notes of the pages I liked so I could share my favorite stuff with the people who read my blog. I like the quote on page 3 which reads" Until we are honest, we can't have a relationship with Jesus and GOD, or anyone for that matter." GOD is a friend to us and to have a good relationship you need to be honest.

On page 56 I liked that the author said sometimes we may think to ourselves Who I am and what am I doing with my life and how that is completely normal. I have been having some thoughts like that and its comforting to know I am not the only one.

On page 111,112 the author brings up the topic of sex. I like her point when she says " It takes more than sex, even good sex, to make a marriage what it must be to survive. The goal of a good relationship is to communicate and connect deeply. We must continue to be held close. There must be a healthy pattern of relating to each other in nonsexual ways. There must be a dogged commitment to deal with any destructive issues that persist in the relationship in order to maintain love and trust."

On page 119 the author talks about a healthy relationship between husband and wife is then they often volunteer or do some kind of ministry together. When both husband and wife put GOD first in their lives, GOD will bless them and make them happy.

The main point of this book is about writing a journal to get our real feelings out to how we feel so we can better handle our relationships and such. And how GOD is always there for us and he knows that we suffer and he cares for us and will help us when the going gets tough. I will recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read mixed with a little part about religion in it.

Stage Collapses Before Sugarland Concert Killing Four, Injuring Dozens

A deadly storm with wind gusts of 60-70 mph slammed into the Indiana State Fair late Saturday night at approximately 9 p.m. local time causing the main concert stage to collapse. At this time authorities are reporting at least four dead and over 40 fans receiving treatment at local hospitals. It’s estimated that more than 150 fans were also treated at a makeshift triage unit at the fairgrounds itself.

It’s possible the death toll from the stage collapse at the fairgrounds in Indianapolis, which occurred as a crowd of about 12,000 waited for a performance by Sugarland, could go higher, local authorities are reporting.

Indianapolis Star music reporter David Lindquist was in the fifth row of the Grandstand when the disaster unfolded.

“The entire stage rigging collapsed,” Lindquist said. “This is bad. This is very bad.”

According to Lindquist, opening act Sara Bareilles finished her set by commenting what a beautiful night it was. Less than 30 minutes later the stage set was on the ground.

“The gust of wind came, there was no rain yet and the production fell from left to right,” Lindquist said. “And you could see, you could clearly see people were under the footprint of the rigging.”

Emergency crews and fans quickly converged on the collapsed stage and worked to free those who were trapped, he said.

The Indianapolis Star is reporting that the State Fair has been cancelled for Sunday and will resume on Monday with a prayer and memorial service.

Following the tragedy, Sugarland posted a message via Twitter: “We are all right. We are praying for our fans, and the people of Indianapolis. We hope you’ll join us. They need your strength.”

Kim Kardashian on Why She's Telling Mom Kris 'This is My Wedding!'

With a little more than a week away from her big wedding day, Kim Kardashian is keeping her cool -- and is definitely in charge

"Extra's" Renee Bargh caught up with the bride-to-be at the launch party for the new World's Most Beautiful 3D magazine and asked Kim about how she's dealing with her mother, Kris Jenner, who recently admitted to Bargh she's been "kind of a momzilla."

Kim said she put her foot down when it came to the reportedly 500+ guest list. "I'll look at the list and I'll be like, 'Why is this person on the list? Why is this person? I don't know this person. This is your friend.' This is my wedding. I gotta approve the list!"

One of those guests is "Extra" host Mario Lopez. Kim talked about the formal attire for the big day, saying, "I will just tell him [Mario] to wear black or white. There's a dress code."

The rumored $10 million wedding is set for August 20 in Montecito, CA, with the whole ceremony decked out in neutral, black and silver. There's also a 10-tier cake, modeled after the royal confection from Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding.

Kim admitted she doesn't have any pre-wedding jitters. "There's just no point in freaking out now," the reality TV star laughed. How does her fiancé Kris Humphries feel? "He's feeling good, you know. He's just excited for it."

As for the magazine launch party, Kardashian was honored to be the World's Most Beautiful 3D cover girl. "It was just so cool to see a picture of yourself in 3D!"

Review of the book Thunder Dog by Michael Hingson with Susy Flory

This book was simply a great read, I read it in one afternoon. I could not put it down. It's about a blind man who is in the south twin towers on 9/11 when the planes have hit the buildings. Its how he gets out with the help of his seeing eye dog. They both make it out safely.

I enjoyed a quote from the book that I want to share in this blog post. "A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself" by Josh Billings.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good read. And its not really a christian book like the others on booksneeze but a good read nonetheless. I enjoy reading other books about 9/11 and how animals help us. I actually ended up giving this book to a friend and she kept it and didn't give it back to me. I actually gave it to our realtor after she helped us find a house. I like reading a book about cats and dogs because I love animals, I love watching tv shows and moves on them. If it were up to me I would keep every dog and cat because I would take such good care of them. I hate seeing animals suffer and when people told that, I want them to suffer as much as they did to the animals. I care more about animals then people which is so true. I am an animal person.
