Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are well aware of the benefits of having children, though one they probably didn't expect was the financial support of the French government. The birth of twins Knox and Vivienne were registered at Brignoles Town Hall, which means that the multi-millionaire stars are now eligible for child support, and very generous it is too.
"We do not discuss individual benefits cases," said a spokeswoman for the Brignoles council. "But can confirm that all resident local families with young children are eligible for certain benefits."
Those benefits include a £490 a month "nanny payment" and as they have three adopted children, a supplementary "orphan allowance" of £255 a month for each of the trio. So about £1300 a month, should the couple decide to seek handouts from the French taxpayer.
