The D.A. filed seven misdemeanors in a Beverly Hills courtroom this morning against Lindsay Lohan reports TMZ .

No felonies were filed and a plea bargain may go down this afternoon. She was charged with two counts of DUI and if convicted will go to the slammer for a minimum of 4 days.

The D.A. said the amount of cocaine seized from Lohan wasn't substantial enough for a charge. He said it was below the .05 grams required by office policy for felony filing.

TMZ said that being busted twice helped Lohan, because it shows the D.A. that she has an addiction problem. The fact that she went back to rehab also helps her.

One source said, "Prosecutors in this county see a lot of kids in crisis. There are lots of kids struggling with addiction. The first sign of trouble usually involves a car. We're not going to throw every one of them in prison. It doesn't make sense."
