James Blunt speakes on the accident

So James Blunt ran over this dude's foot with his car as he was leaving an Oscar party this past weekend.

The victim was originally identified as a "fan" but it later turned out to be an autograph hunter.

In an attempt to justify the incident, which is being investigated by police, Blunt's publicist released the following statement:

"It wasn't a fan. It was a ton of paparazzi that were all swarming his car as he was driving 2 mph trying to navigate his way through them. That's the first and foremost. They were invading his space. He was just trying to quietly leave the party."
