Marking the one month anniversary of Heath Ledger’s death, actress Michelle Williams and her daughter Matilda try to cope with their loss while still living life.
While Matilda appears to be rebounding with the same resilience found in toddlers, Michelle has been devastated and canceled numerous public appearances as she tries to regain strength.
Michelle and Matilda have been living in the Brooklyn brownstone since returning back to the US after Heath’s memorial service in Australia. Heath and Michelle purchased the brownstone back in 2005 after they finished the production of Brokeback Mountain and fell in love.
Taking strength in familiarity and a strong local support network, Michelle is trying to keep Matilda’s life as normal as possible. Taking walks through their familiar neighborhood, Michelle and a bundled up Matilda are distantly guarded by locals who are going out of their way to respect their privacy.
