Rihanna at the H&M store on Fifth Avenue (January 31)

After all the glitz and glamour fades away, what really matters is what we’ve done to help others. And Rihanna is covering her bases with an appearance at the H&M Fashion Against AIDS event.

The “Umbrella” singer showed up at the grand opening of H&M’s Fifth Avenue store in New York City earlier today. And she was dressed to impress.

Rihanna sported a black leather-accented jacket overtop a black skirt with matching stockings and boots. Once inside, she removed the jacket to reveal a white ruffled blouse (circa Renaissance-period) and a big smile.

She joins the ranks of Good Charlotte, Jade Jagger, My Chemical Romance, Rufus Wainwright, Timbaland, and Ziggy Marley, who have all come together to help the foundation.
