Dane Cook Gets Evicted
Comedian Dane Cook has abandoned his legal case to keep the apartment he was evicted from in West Hollywood, TMZ.com reports.
Cook was kicked out last year by a jury that found he hadn’t followed the building’s guidelines to curb his dog.
The 36-year-old claimed in his last-ditch appeal that the apartment building - whose previous tenants include John Belushi and Steve Martin - had inspired his work.
Cook settled the case, paid the landlord and now owns a $7 million home in the Hollywood Hills.
The comic starred opposite Jessica Simpson in 2006’s Employee of the Month and with Kate Hudson in My Best Friend’s Girl, in theaters now.
