Review of the book Fresh Brewed Life by Nicole Johnson

This book was a really good read. I read it in 2 days and couldn't put it down. I really liked how encouraging this book was. The author made alot of great points that I could relate to and it seemed like a friend of mine had written this book.

I took some notes of the pages I liked so I could share my favorite stuff with the people who read my blog. I like the quote on page 3 which reads" Until we are honest, we can't have a relationship with Jesus and GOD, or anyone for that matter." GOD is a friend to us and to have a good relationship you need to be honest.

On page 56 I liked that the author said sometimes we may think to ourselves Who I am and what am I doing with my life and how that is completely normal. I have been having some thoughts like that and its comforting to know I am not the only one.

On page 111,112 the author brings up the topic of sex. I like her point when she says " It takes more than sex, even good sex, to make a marriage what it must be to survive. The goal of a good relationship is to communicate and connect deeply. We must continue to be held close. There must be a healthy pattern of relating to each other in nonsexual ways. There must be a dogged commitment to deal with any destructive issues that persist in the relationship in order to maintain love and trust."

On page 119 the author talks about a healthy relationship between husband and wife is then they often volunteer or do some kind of ministry together. When both husband and wife put GOD first in their lives, GOD will bless them and make them happy.

The main point of this book is about writing a journal to get our real feelings out to how we feel so we can better handle our relationships and such. And how GOD is always there for us and he knows that we suffer and he cares for us and will help us when the going gets tough. I will recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good read mixed with a little part about religion in it.
